Trailer Flooring — Montrose, CO
A Floor That Does Not Rot
Most of the decks we pull out failed the same way. Water gets in through the fasteners and the end grain, the boards swell and go soft, and by the time you notice it the crossmembers underneath have been wet for a season.
Shelby flooring is recycled rubber and plastic instead of wood, so there is nothing in it for water to get into. We sell it and the shop lays it — livestock trailers, utility trailers, car haulers — or we supply the material if you would rather do the job yourself.
Shelby Trailer Flooring
What The Material Does
100% Recycled
Rubber and plastic, made in the USA. Nothing in it started out as a tree.
Will Not Soak Up Water
No swelling, no soft spots, no rot. Hose it out and it dries instead of holding the wet against the frame.
Holds Up To Sun
UV stable, so it does not go brittle or chalky the way cheap plastic does through a Colorado summer.
Low Maintenance
Nothing to seal, nothing to sand, nothing to pull up and replace every few seasons.
Before You Decide
Wood, Steel Or Shelby
We fit all three and we are not going to pretend one of them wins every time.
01
Wood
Cheapest to lay and the deck we replace most. Pressure treated boards buy you years, not decades, and when one goes soft the rest is usually not far behind.
02
Steel
It lasts, and it rusts wherever the coating gets scraped by a loader bucket or a shod hoof. Wet steel is also slick, which matters if you are hauling stock.
03
Shelby
More money up front, and then it stops being a job you plan for. This is what people ask for when they are tired of re-decking the same trailer.
